Dear Purefoy Families,
Welcome back to another year at Purefoy Elementary, The Greatest School on Earth! Your PTA board has many events and activities already planned that reflect the PTA mission and focus on advocacy, education and family engagement. As always, we strive to strengthen the PTA every year and make a difference in our children’s lives.

- and a NEW Fall event being announced at the WatchDOG Kick-Off Meeting!
We encourage everyone to show their support by joining the PTA for the 2019 -2020 school year. You can join the PTA by sending in the membership form to the front office, or for easier submission, you can join online HERE! We encourage all grandparents to join as well!
WE NEED AND WELCOME ALL VOLUNTEERS!! Your involvement at Purefoy is how our PTA and school stay strong and our kids achieve success. No effort is too small and we have so many volunteer opportunities available-- things that can be done at home, opportunities for working parents, activities that require a lot of hours, and others that require minimal amounts of time. Grandparents are welcome to volunteer at all events as well. We would love to help you get plugged in with opportunities that match your time, talents and desires to help make a difference! Just a friendly reminder that in order to volunteer you must complete an FISD background check.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact any board member. We hope that you will consider being a part of our wonderful Purefoy PTA and thank you for supporting your child in education. We look forward to another GREAT year at Purefoy!

 | | Welcome back to all of our Purefoy families! I hope you all had a fabulous summer and were able to relax and enjoy time with your family. We have had a fabulous start to the 2019-2020 school year and are so excited about the year ahead. I will be sending a weekly smore every Thursday to update you on things going on at Purefoy. This will include some pictures, so that you can see some of the great learning our students are doing here at school. Also, please make sure to check your grade level newsletter weekly to stay informed about upcoming events specific to each grade. We truly want to work with you as a partner to ensure we are meeting the needs of all our students. It is such a joy getting to know our students and families. Thank you for your support and all that you do. Purefoy is such a special place and a large part of that is because of you!  | | We are kicking off our WatchDOG season September 19th at 6PM with an informational session and pizza! We would love to have you join us to learn more about this kid-favorite program. Some inside intel, we will also be "tee-ing" up a NEW Fall event. You do not want to miss out! |

 | | The Book Fair will be set up at Purefoy the week of September 30th. We have fun events planned that coincide with this event to bring a "punch, kick and jab" of excitement to reading! |

 | | The FUN RUN is being held November 1 and the PTA will be providing shirts for the kids. We ask that everyone fill out the form below so your student(s) can receive their free shirt. Keep checking the website as we add more information. PUREFOY NATION is coming and obstacles have nothing on us. |

 | | Thank you so much to everyone who has already joined our PTA this year! As of Friday, September 6th, we currently have more than 450 members and are getting so close to meeting our membership goals!
This year's target is to have at least 544 members in the Purefoy PTA. That includes parents, staff, grandparents and other community members. If we hit that number, we will have met the "President's Challenge" and Purefoy will be eligible to participate in drawings to win prizes that will benefit our school! The sooner we get there, the better!
If you haven't joined yet, it is easy to do on our website or through the app. We can also provide you with a paper form if you prefer to join by cash or check.
Remember, volunteering is not required if you join and neither is attending meetings. This is a great way to get connected and partner with our staff in supporting our school! We would love for all of our parents and grandparents to be part of the Purefoy PTA!
