Fun Run is back for 2023 and we are ready to raise money for our awesome school! The money we raise supports educational programs and equipment for our students and faculty including grade level t-shirts, playground improvements, indoor recess games, family engagement events, high touch high tech science labs within each classroom, teacher grants for classroom funds, and so much more. We can’t do it without your support--please help us reach our goal of $30K!

 

  • Every Student who raises $150 or more will get to help turn our principals into a human ice cream sundae!
  • School wide prizes will be awarded for every $5K raised
  • Top 3 fundraising classes will win an ice cream party
  • Students will earn 1 prize drawing ticket for every $25 raised

 Fun Run FAQs 

Q: What IS Fun Run?

Fun Run is PTA’s Fall fundraiser. It is also a schoolwide event which will take place during the school day on Friday, October 27th.


Q: What happens at the Fun Run event?

The students will participate in Fun Run during their specials period on Friday, October 27th. For half the time they will run laps, and for the other half they will be challenged by an inflatable obstacle course.

Q: Can I attend?

Yes, parents are invited and encouraged to attend!

Q: What should my child wear?

Every student will receive a grade level shirt, provided by PTA and our partners. This shirt should be worn at Fun Run and will also be used for other events and field trips throughout the year. Students should also wear comfortable athletic shoes.


Q: How do I donate?

You can donate online by following the steps above. Please check to see if your employer will match your donation, too! Purefoy PTA is a 501c3 organization and qualifies for many matching programs—it’s an easy way to multiply your impact, and all donations are tax deductible.



Q: Why should I donate?

Fun Run donations pay for all the educational assembly programs (like Dallas Zoo animals, Texas Storm Chasers, Dennis Lee and Dinosaur George) during the year, STEM night, and for each K-5 class to have a hands on science experience in their classrooms. They also fund teacher grants for educational resources, annual subscriptions to Scholastic news, and campus improvements such as the playground canopy, the courtyard seating, the turf expansion, and the Gaga pit. And let’s not forget teacher appreciation week, teacher luncheons and birthday celebrations, and family engagement events like Sock Hop and Glow Recess. In short, Fun Run is a *big deal* and makes a tremendous difference in our kids’ educational experience.

Q: What campus investments are planned this year?

A portion of funds will be used for teacher grants to help support their classroom needs. We also have our eye on a book vending machine which will provide each student with a new book during the school year, while also serving as recognition for good behavior.
