Purefoy PTA Healthy Lifestyles events and activities seek to improve the health and well-being of students, families and staff at Purefoy Elementary. Below are a few of the fun activities planned for the 2017-2018 school year.
PUREFOY POWER PACK
Is your student interested in learning, leading and modeling a healthy lifestyle? 4th and 5th grade students can apply to be a team leader on Purefoy’s Power Pack, a student wellness team. Applications can be completed at home and returned to Coach Rodriquez or dropped off in the office. PUREFOY RUNNING CLUB
PRC utilizes the “Kids Run the Nation” (KRTN) running program. KRTN is a non-profit organization that encourages the physical activity of children through learn-to-run programs. Our specific goal at Purefoy is to have PRC students complete the 10-week program and conclude with a 5K group run. Dates will be announced soon.
Early morning fitness encourages kids to stay focused on creating and choosing healthy habits in and out of the school setting. Early FX meets before school and includes 30-minute moderate to vigorous activities led by Coach Rodriguez. Dates will be announced soon.
Purefoy’s Second Annual Health Fair is scheduled for . Join us for a fun night of healthy, engaging activities sponsored by local, health-promoting businesses and community partners. Students will have the opportunity to learn, move, groove and celebrate healthy lifestyles. Fun for the whole family!
HEALTHY LIFESTYLES MONTH
November is Healthy Lifestyles Month, a national PTA sponsored event. Fun activities that promote wellness and health education will occur throughout the month.
