Invest in Purefoy's Future:
We have raised funds to invest in the school in the following ways over the history of the PTA program, field improvements and outdoor tiles in the gaga ball pit of over $13,000 ♦ over $30,000 to provide more turf in 2021 ♦ $8,000 for a book vending machine to assist with awarding students ♦ $45,000 playground canopy ♦ $35,000 iPads/Google Chrome books, reflector apps, charging stations & Apple TVs ♦ $7,000 bookshelves and easels for classroom libraries and instructional materials ♦ $6,500 for class parties including the 5th grade end of year off site party ♦ $70,000 of books for the Purefoy library & new guided reading books ♦ $2,500 for baskets for 4th & 5th graders to transport their belongings between classes ♦ $10,000 for outdoor classroom ♦ $3,000 of equipment and supplies for the Fine Arts and P.E. departments ♦ $10,000 Alternative seating and learning desks for all classrooms ♦ An annual scholarship for graduating seniors who attended Purefoy ♦ Umbrellas for the picnic tables ♦ Gaga ball pit

If I join, do I have to?
- Volunteer? - No. Joining the PTA is not the same as volunteering. We have numerous activities planned during the school year and need plenty of volunteers to make it all happen, but volunteering is not required.
- Go to meetings? - No. We have five general meetings a year and you are welcome to attend, but it is not required.
- Spend a lot of time at the school? - No. There are a variety of volunteer opportunities available with the PTA. We have things that can be done at home, opportunities for working parents, activities that require a lot of hours and others that require minimal amounts of time. Simply let us know what you are interested in doing and how much time you have available to volunteer and we will help you find the right “job” for you.
